Treatment Philosophy

Shannon Taylor, DPT, ATC | Lake Stevens & Snohomish

I take an active, movement-based approach to treatment, conducting thorough evaluations that assess both the injury and surrounding areas for compensation.

My treatments combine targeted exercises to improve mobility, strength, and neuromuscular control with manual therapy techniques like soft tissue work, joint mobilizations, cupping and dry needling.

As a performance physical therapist, I tailor each session to your goals—whether that means pushing performance limits or adapting for recovery. I also integrate sport-specific training, including agility, plyometrics, and return-to-run protocols. I utilize evidence-based return-to-sport testing, such as strength assessments, jump evaluations, and psychological readiness screens to ensure best practices.

I prioritize sustainable recovery plans that fit each patient’s lifestyle, emphasizing accountability and open communication to ensure long-term success by blending in person visits with custom exercise programming and communication using an app.

Founding Story

Shannon Taylor, DPT, ATC | Lake Stevens & Snohomish

Fearless Pursuit Physical Therapy was founded with a goal of creating an exceptional experience for patients, and an inspiring work environment. Early in my career, I felt a strong connection to athletic-minded patients, but the traditional insurance-based model of PT limited my ability to provide the individualized care they deserved and quickly led to burnout for me.

After years of refining my skills, I knew there had to be a better way—for both my patients and my own career sustainability. A quote that said, "If you can't find it, build it," inspired me to take action. Combined with the mantra, "Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire," I decided to chase my dream, even when it felt scary. That’s how Fearless Pursuit PT came to life.

If the idea of "Fearless Pursuit" resonates with you, I’d love to meet you and tell you more about the process—designed to help you feel confident and empowered as you pursue your individual goals and feel better than ever doing it!

Meet your physical therapist!

Shannon Taylor, DPT, ATC | Lake Stevens & Snohomish

With seven years of experience in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy, I specialize in helping athletes recover and perform at their best. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with an undergraduate degree in Athletic Training (ATC), I understand the unique demands of sport. I’ve also pursued advanced training in rehab for barbell athletes, allowing me to support weightlifters, CrossFit enthusiasts, and gym-goers.

I feel especially purposeful when working with female youth athletes and motivated adult female athletes, helping them build confidence, resilience, and strength. My approach centers on strong patient relationships, clear recovery goals, and integrating technology for better outcomes.

Based in Lake Stevens, WA, I enjoy hiking, yoga, golf, and strength training. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me exploring coffee shops with my fiancé, Lucas, and our husky, Akira—or cheering on the Minnesota Vikings in the fall!
